Danish Queen Margrethe visited the VOLA showroom in Shanghai

On the occasion of the State Visit by Her Majesty The Queen of Denmark and His Royal Highness the Prince Consort, the Royal Danish Consulate General in Shanghai is hosting Danish Design Days pop-up shop and exhibition from the 25th of April to the 30th of April at Design Republic’s Design Commune Developed in collaboration with one of the leading design havens of China – Design Republic – Danish Design Days combine the very best of Danish lifestyle and design in a century old building embedded with Chinese culture and aesthetics. The event will therefore create a holistic platform for awareness-creation of the unique and exclusive design products of Denmark to Chinese consumers.
16 unique companies are participating in Danish Design Days and collectively express the wide varieties of Danish design lifestyle. Among the participating companies are Bang & Olufsen, Birger Christensen, Dea Kudibal, ECCO, Erfurt, Fritz Hansen, HAY, House of Amber, LEGO, Lindberg, One Collection, Paustian, Schmidt/Hammer/Lassen, Stelton, Edith & Ella, and VOLA.
The Danish Design Days pop-up shop is open from the 25 – 30th of April from 10 AM – 7PM at Design Republic in 511 Jiangning Road (cross road: Kangding Road). There will be a preopening on the 25th of April where both Design Republic and the Royal Danish Consulate General will invite media, designers, collectors, consumers and relevant business partners.
Her Majesty The Queen officially opened the pop-up shop on the 28th of April.
VOLA opened its showroom in the Design Republic’s Design Commune in November 2012 and employ now two local business develop managers, Mr. Jerry Li and Mr. Issac Song, who visit international architectural companies. VOLA has just secured an order for NUO Kempinski Hotel for 450 towel warmers.
